What else can you paint?

Just about anything! If you have a photo of a beautiful sunset, your favorite beach,or a close-up of a flower that you would like reproduced, no problem. Apart from photos, we can also reproduce custom digital designs into hand painted masterpieces. All we need is a high resolution image to work from. The options are unlimited!

What resolution should my photos be?

We recommend that photos be capured at the medium to high resolution settings on your digital camera.  Low resolution capture is generally used for viewing on your computer screen not for printing.  If you send us a low resolotion image we will notify you that the image is too low for painting you photo.  There is no charge for this service.

Do I need copywrite permission to send you my photo?

If your photos have been taken by a professional photographer you may need permission before you can send the photo to us.  Paint U will not be held liable for any image painted that might be in breach of copywrite laws. 

What forms of payment to you accept?

We accept Credit card (via PayPal - fast safe and secure). You can use Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express with PayPal. Plus, when you pay with PayPal, you do not expose your credit card number to Paint u at anytime.  We also accept direct deposit, all you have to do is email us and we will send though our Paint U bank account details.  Once you have made the money transfer please send though a email confirming your name, the amount of money transferred, size of the painting, how many people are in the painting, your mailing address, and also you can email though the picture.

Are they really paintings?

Yes! Paint U does not sell prints, not canvas transfers, not lithographs and not giclee prints. We do not print a watermark on the canvas and then paint over it like many other affordable retailers may offer. They are painted entirely and exclusively by hand.  Each oil painting is one of a kind.

What materials do you use for the reproduction process?

Each painting is created on 100% cotton artist canvas with high quality oil. We also provide enough extra white canvas around the actual image suitable for stretching and framing.

Can I see and feel the brushstrokes?

Yes of course. All of our paintings are 100% hand-painted. You can feel, touch and smell the actual oil of the painting when it arrives.

How long does it take to produce my painting?

Your painting is processed immediately after the order is placed. Normally it takes around 3 weeks to complete all the quality controlled process and have your painting on its way to you.  We can speed up the process for the painting to be at your door around 14 days from the time of your order for a extra 30% of the final price.

Can I order in a specific size?

Yes, we can have your painting sized, please refer to costs for your required size.

How will my painting be delivered?

Upon completion of the control process, which includes your approval the painting is then unstretch, rolled and packed and inserted into a sturdy cardboard tube suitable for safe delivery. If you choose the gallery wrap option your painting is triple bubble wrapped and finished in thick packaging paper ready for shipment.

What type of photo and how do I send it?

Scan your photo, (JPEG format) and follow our attachment direction. It would be best if the photo is the highest resolution possible, so no detail is missed by the artist, then simply select size.  We do accept all digital file formats-including professional RAW files from any DSLR brand.

How will my order be delivered to me?

All of our orders are delivered by Australia Post services.  We register all our paintings though the mail system.

What if I don't like the painting after I buy it?

Well we would recommend that you need to have your eyes checked  - but we'd rather not foot the bill for that - instead we'll gladly refund your money in return for the painting as long as you give us your feedback on what didn't 'work for you'! Sound fair? No other painter would ever dream of doing that - try them!
